HelloWell, people have been saying they can't read my blog due to !@#$%betablogger -.- so I haven't been posting. Anyhow, I don't expect it'll be up soon cos I've no time to fix/meddle with this. So a summary of my holidays, I've been going out really often, plus LANing trips galore. I've got my first taste of DotA and CS, I must say they're addictive in a LAN shop. Been using things like 'pwn' and 'gg' and 'ownage' in school, which leads to weird stares.
My friends who DotA have been spamming me strats, skill builds, and explanations and tactics stuff. Guys are so passionate about this, if they put the same type of enthusiasm in their studies I'll bet they're all top scorers.
Mhmm what else, lots of things to do this year. Let's see, gotta hype up the NPCC thing, plus take over the teaching and lectures and stuff. Hmm youth leader thing, church camp, youth fellowship, and whatever new schemes they think up this year. Speaking of which, youth mentor thing to the sec1s and p6s also. Wow youth leader meetings on saturdays, smallgroup on sats as well, plus ss worship =/ Yepp and I've been feeling quite alone these days, don't freak out if I come find you for ranting (:

HelloHahaha, I can't believe it. I went to lan with Aaron, Ryan, and Dan today ! Ahhhhhh I have stooped to a new low man ! But anyway, first taste of DotA, and CS x) Apparently I've got hidden talent hahahaha x) Dota was pointless lah, but interesting in a new experience kinda way xD And Ryan killed me three out of four times lah -.- but I managed to kill Dan hahahahaha. I was just stoning behind the tree thing, cos I didn't know how/why/who/where to fight lol. Then later (cos Aaron's in my team, playing against Ryan and Dan) Aaron looked over and was like "whoa zomg serene has like 6k gold !" hahahahaha I was just standing there lah x) anyway my team won lah, which was cool :D
Yea and CS I've like, seen people play before, but I never stopped to watch lah. And it's quite cool, maybe this will train up for my M16 class shoot next year x) I never knew who was my team mate and who isn't, so I just randomly shoot at everyone, until Ryan shouts over "serene, that's me lah !" hahahaha lucky you can't kill your team mate xD Ohwells, according to Aaron I shot mostly "head shots". I'm assuming that I kill people with the bullet in the head, whatever that may reveal about my inner personality hahahaha x) I had quite a number of kills, which is zai for a noob xD
Yepp, we played maple for abit also. Hahaha and we pwned some dude training on drakes lol. Ohyea, and why the Dota slang is like "so and so PAWNED so and so's head and got extra 220 gold !" HAHAHAHA that's damn weird, but anyway, yea I had a conference last night and I had six people ! Which is cool x) and slept at 3 -.- Oops, sorry again Ryan, about that phonebill of yours =/
Mehh, and Mingyue was following us around, but never play ! Hahaha so antisocial yepps. Yay, maybe I'll watch Nativity Story tomorrow out at Cathay :D

HelloSo I'm back from India heh. Alright, I should at least write where I went to ; Kumbalam, Cochin, Kerala, India :D Kerala's the state, Cochin (Kochi) was the city and Kumbalam was something like the district (like we have Bishan and Yishun or something, just much bigger. Kumbalam itself is bigger than Singapore -.-)
Mhm, and in Kumbalam we served in a school called Raghava Panicker Memorial High School (pronounced RAG-ava PA-ni-ke Memorial High School). It's quite a small school lah, like a village school. I may post up a link for photos when they get uploaded; I was too lazy to bring my camera there x)
And, they don't use 'Secondary' over there, it's called Standard 1-10, Plus One, Plus Two. So..I introduced myself as a Standard 9 student lah. They also start school a year earlier than we do, so even though their Plus One is supposedly JC1, the students are only 16 (: Yepp, and we mainly taught selected std6-10 classes English and IT lessons. They've got around four classes per level. We do a rotation thing, so a group of 3 to 4 people take 3 classes in the morning, and another group takes the afternoon session. I taught 8D twice for English and once for IT (but it was two blocks, cos girls and guys separate) and there's this boy called Alan and he's damn nice :D hahaha yea (:
So, I left on Saturday at four thirty in the freaking morning. Boarded the plane to Colombo (Sri Lanka) while stopping by KL for transit on the way there, then five hour transit for a flight to Kerala, and bus to Kumbalam. Hmm..I ate bread for breakfast before I left for the airport, then they fed us a chocolate cream puff thing (which gave me insane stomach cramps just before we went through immigration. I almost wanted to pull out and say I was going home. It was that painful.) and on the flight to KL, they fed us breakfast (omelette or whatever). Then halfhour transit at KL, en route to Colombo, another meal (breakfast) and our five hour transit. Just so happens that lunch time falls in that five hour, so we get a free lunch at the airport. We board the plane to Kerala, and they feed us tea/lunch thing at around 3pm. Reached Kerala, ate our dinner (mygosh -.-) and took a bus to Kumbalam. Insane eating day, I felt that it was a torture okay, you try eating so many meals in a day, and the food's not even that nice !
Apparently, the Rotary Club of Cochin Harbour organised this for us and arranged our accomodations, and we got a resort to stay in :D There was already another team from Bukit View Secondary School Singapore staying there, and we overlapped for a night, so we did like, communal sleeping o.O 5 people to two mattresses, and we crammed all the mattresses into this one big room (which we later used as a dining hall). Yepp, the next day the BV dudes evacuated their side of the house, and we had the full house (: and we cleaned the toilets, corridors, rooms, kitchen and stuff like that.
In a room were two single sized beds and four people to each room lah. My mentor stayed with us, so we got an extra mattress (which doesn't really make much of a difference because the mattress is placed on the floor and we can't join three mattresses together. So yea.) And that night there was a Rotary Club dinner-performance kinda event, to send the BV students off and welcome the RG students heh. We mingled with them, and they told us that blackouts were frequent (like five times a day) and you must never go anywhere especially at night, without your torch hahaha. Yea and they were so, like, enlightened and very 'team spirit'ish lah x) I hope we've achieved that heh. And I ate too much ice cream that night, bad tummyache =/ serves me right zzz.
And on Monday, we went to the school lah. They welcomed us with like flower petals and this long procession for almost 2km leh ! And the drummer dude was playing with his hands for almost 2 hours continuously ! xD I'll betcha even Ryan can't do that hahahahaha ! Yepp, then for Tuesday till Friday, were our work days.
Tuesday my group started with the mural painting, white washing and all. Wednesday was housekeeping, laundry, mattresses, sweeping floors, cooking meals. Thursday was English lessons where I taught 8D x) and 7C also lah. IT lessons were cancelled because they were doing some data logging thing for the school and stuff. We also cleaned parts of their Science lab, which was actually honestly in a pathetic state. There are random chemical bottles, and unlabelled bottles with I don't know what inside. And very little test tubes: around say..30 odd for the whole lab. Sheryl commented that three of her classmates combine test tubes have more than RPM's test tube supply. I wouldn't say it's entirely impossible lol. Yea and Friday we finished up most of the mural painting and left only the outlines and stuff for the Monday group to touch up.
Saturday was our 'rest' day ! We visited St. Mary's High in the morning, which was where OSL India'05 did their service learning and saw their mural ! It's actually very nice, especially the sky hahaha. Then we performed our CXC for RPM Primary School (the std1-4 dudes). Sunday was busier =/ We had a fieldtrip in the morning to see how people catch fish and stuff, and after lunch everyone slacked while my group had to do housekeeping =/ sigh, so cheated.
Monday we did IT and English lessons again, and I took the afternoon shift, that means my 8D class again ! Haha, the IT lab has like four computers, and 24 students, but one computer couldn't be switched on, so we had 8 girls to a com 0.0 IT lessons are divided into two groups for each class lah, so we taught the 8D girls first, then the 8D boys. There was this particular boy, maybe he has a computer at home, I told them to copy a sentence and paste it below, and I haven't even told them how to do it and he went to use keyboard shortcuts 0.0 whoa, he just pressed Ctrl+C and +V and wham lah. Hahahaha, so I was like "whoa, damn zai." but it's only him lah, the rest also cmi cmi one x)
Oh and, we were supposed to teach 7C but my team mates taught them in the morning, so we were looking for a class to teach and they got us 5B (which was a Malayalam medium class; their English even worse than the English medium std5 classes). And at the end, the 5B dudes were like, they mobbed us ! There were three of us, and more than ten of them crowding around us wanting to shake our hand and we're like "okayokay, shake some. Now go go go !" hahaha. We were walking back to our 'HQ' (which was the mural room lah) when we were accosted ! We got dragged into 10C and we kind of entertained them for the whole block lah.
The bell rung and, because we learnt our lesson in the std 5 class (which was not so bad, because the boys were like half my height, std10 guys are like a head taller than me eeks. Imagine the std10 guys mobbing us ahhhhhhhhh~!) we were like saying among the three of us "okay pack, quickly pack. good, now go go go !" and we hurriedly waved goodbye to them hahahahaha. About two of them followed us to HQ but we ignored them x)
Tuesday my group did housekeeping again (?!) zzz Yea, and we visited Chinmaya in the day lah. Chinmaya is like, the best school in Kerala; the level of prestige is comparable to that of RG in Singapore lorh, and their English is also better (ah, duh) haha. That was quite cool, we did our last CXC and played games and stuff there. We left the resort on Wednesday and went to Riviera Suites to spend our last night in a decent place. Whoa that place is 0.0 super nice ! It's like a service apartment, and you get soft beds ! And hot water to bathe ! And TV to watch ! And aircon ! Haha it was a welcome relief (:
Yea went for day tours on both Wednesday and Thursday. I bought some bracelet/bangle thingys and 2 long skirts. Something possessed me to buy them lah, it's those flowy kinda thing. 250rupees for 2, around SGD$5 for one lah. I can always give them away as Christmas presents haha.
Yepp and just random notes, lunch was horrible every single day. Why ? Because they cater food for us, and the curry's like either super sour, or super spicy. And they have things like mango curry (wth is that all about ?!) which is yellow and looks damn sick and you pour it over your rice which already has a slight bitter taste and the curry makes it sour and you go like ew sick but the teachers make you finish it and I almost puked everything out and I think I got fat because the teachers make you finish everything on your plate and all the super sour stuff which just screams at you that it's spoilt food and team debriefs every night which take 2 hours excluding facilitation time, and facil's like an hour every 3 days reflecting about what's taken place and how you can make it better and *takes a deep breath* the floor is really really really painful to sit on for two hours listening to a debrief which goes something like "team, I want you (3 seconds later) to keep all this (13seconds later) in mind. This is very (2 seconds later) important if you...want to grow." And it's insanely boring so I actually timed the pauses with my GShock watch.
So I can safely say that I probably will not be going back as a mentor, because mentors have to conduct all those facils and have their own extra facil with the teachers which is way too much reflection for me to do, yes ? And with this I end my India'06 OSL trip that this has closed a book of my sec3 life and I'll start a new book next year, with many many blank pages to be written on.

HelloHaha, a farewell blogpost :D So I'm going to India tomorrow on the 7.30 flight in the morningg. Be back on the 8th lah. Not sure what time I touch down, probably either afternoon or evening. So..farewell Singapore and hello India lol. I'm gonna miss you guys hahaha, the MSN people, the conference call people, and smsers x) Well, takecare you guys ((: and I'll be back soon enough :D I've sent out the christmas cards already, so you may receive them this week, or next heh.

HelloI'm expecting this to be a short post yea. Haha, I was rereading my blogposts and I realised I've blogged lots about exams and exam prep, but no post exam entry ! So yea, a very belated post exam entry x)
Basically I got a 3.07 GPA (which is superbly well done for me, considering the highest I've ever gotten was a 2.97) and I am very very very satisfied with this result :D But I found the system damn cheater ! I've got HMT at 61 (just 2.8), bio at 71 (just a 3.6) and Physics at 66 (3.2), which means three subjects which I was lucky. But, math was 69 (and it's two !@#$% credits !), SS was 64 (wasted !), History 59 (also wasted !) and chem at 68 (not as bad) ! Sigh, so, I've won 3 credits, and lost four or five..Especially that mathematics. Urgh *makes incoherent grumbling noises* Math was the most wasted one lah. One mark to a x2 GPA up leh.
However, I am very very proud of my Chemistry paper :D Haha, apparently threequarter the level failed, and I passed (36/60) ! They may have moderated the marks, I'm not very sure, but yea, no matter what, I'm very proud of it :D
Thanks goes out to MsPhua (the sec2 relief chem teacher who taught me for two weeks) and Aaron especially. MsPhua, although she was an A level student-teacher from RJ, her teaching method (Y). She got me interested in chem, then this year I understood topics taught in class (with help from Aaron, oh my personal question-answer encyclopedia !) and it is this year, where I decided I want to take H3 Chemistry because it's darned interesting ! I hope I get a good/decent chem teacher next year, if not like this year's 2nd semester bio teacher which totally killed my bio interest : complete annihilation. Yea, he's that bad.
*gasps* I'm old ! Gonna be sec4 soon..That's old. And soon, I'll be in JC, and my varsity studies (I hope.). Friendships which survive JC, will be the ones that last forever. I hope your friendship with me falls in this category. If, by some chance it doesn't, please know that I have treasured your friendship and support alot alot alot, and you will always have a special place in my heart (: [oh my poor boyfriend, no space for him x)]
No doubt, friendships will move on after some time, and new friends come while old friends leave footprints in your heart. These footprints, however they are made, will always be imprinted in stone, never to be erased, always and forever unique to only one person. As I say it, one size does not fit all. Sure there may be small stones or glassware that cut our feet as we walk together, but the cuts we endured, the blood and tears we've shed, have shaped me into the person you see today and will see tomorrow.
I sound like I'm going off into the battlefield to die, but I die die also won't enlist (hah sirui, so there !). If there's no tomorrow for me, at least I know I have lived a fulfilling life, with things like going to the skatepark, watching people lan and spending quality time with people x)
Ah, on a happier note, I'm going to India this Saturday, and I can't wait to be back in Singapore to spend the Christmas :D

HelloWow today was 0.0 hahahaha. Super tiring but shit, damn fun I tell you. So I'll start in the morning hahahaha, Mingyue was supposed to come for the Duolos thing (which was very good), but apparently, she got lost ! Told her to look out for Comfort DelGro building, and she missed the stop, and she alighted at Potong Pasir Station. So what ? Take bus 13 back lah, then tell her to see Shell station, then press the bell and alight at the next stop. Smart person alighted at the stop before Shell, and crossed the road to Shell, and I got her from there -.-
So I jammed a lil' upstairs but they were taking such a long time restringing the Fender zzz and the acoustic can't be heard over the amp ! So I gave up and played some super simple songs on the piano lol. Then they had to lock up the place, so we went off with AaronYeh, Ryan, Dan, Nat, Yining lurh. Both Mingyue and Yining no preference, so I decided 'hey why not, I can stay out late today, might as well follow them to skatepark and see how Yeh falls x)'.
Yepp, and we were actually stoning downstairs in church for almost fifteen minutes, because the guys couldn't decide
Yepp so we reached J8 and Dan Nat went back, followed them (Aaron and Ryan) to the MRT station, where Ryan went first and pangsehed us ! Yea, Aaron was damn pissed with him lah. Way to go.
MRT, reached skatepark, stared in awe at the graffiti walls hahahaha :D sat down at the step with Yining and Mingyue, just watched them do tricks. Saw the skateboarders, abit lousy lah the standard, then went onto bike tricks, slightly better, and the skaters, which are quite good really hahaha x) like, 330-5 lah.
We just sat there and talked and talked and watched them skate, sometimes randomly got phrases like "ouch. painful" and "whoa did you see that ?!" and, most commonly, "shit what is wrong with these guys, keep showing off their boxers x.x" HAHA.
Yepp, I've seen like more than 8 boxers today lorh. There was this flowery one, and the guy wearing it was wearing jeans with a belt ! Isn't what the belt is for ? To hold your jeans up ? -.- Yea and Ryan's not bad at skating hahaha, coolbeans :D
And then there was this guy called Pokvin from the PKSG forums, who added me on MSN some time ago lah. Then Yeh was next to me, and he looked behind me "yo pokvin !" I was like eh, so familiar. Then he got into skates and skated past where I was sitting and I saw his PKSG teeshirt hahaha x) So I asked Yeh if he was from PKSG forums/was a traceur and then somehow it got to Ryan and they were up on the ramp discussing me lah LOL. Ryan came down and asked how I know Pokvin and yea it's the same guy cos he says he remembers/knows me. Coolbeans !
Later at 5 Ryan Aaron and two other friends went lanning. Yining left at four, so Mingyue and I followed them to lan. Haha I was commenting (since it was my first time at lan shop) "whoa these people come here to lan..no lifers man. yea and we come here to watch people lan, zomg that's the ultimate winner hahaha" xDD
They dotaed and Mingyue and I stood behind them and talked for an hour ! Whoa, insane man. I wonder how we managed that. Yea, actually they wanted to go back to the skatepark, but then later decided to go home.
So we walked to the pedestrian crossing, then stun there, cos Ryan wanted to cross the road to go MRT (at least I thought so), and Yeh said this side shorter because no need to cross road. So pedestrian crossing light turn green, Ryan just walked off, and Yeh walked the other way like totally opposite directions, and Mingyue and I were like left standing there "eh what the shit ?! where do we go ?!" HAHAHA then since green man blinking already, and I kinda felt bad for Aaron, cos Ryan's friend was with him crossing the road, and we went after Aaron lol. Thought we'd meet Ryan at the control station downstairs, but we only met his friend who said he went to take bus home haha. Then I would have said byebye lol x) Ahhhh ohwells.
Today was darn fun, and I didn't spend money at all, except on EZLink heh. I think I owe Yining a lunch x) cos' she paid for my drink hahaha, which I didn't ask for, but thanks Aaron lol, I was thirsty and he took initiative to buy us drinks (albeit with Yining's money HAHA) Yea and I owe her lunch for that drink hahaha x) Yepp, and it was really fun today, I'll probably never do this again lol. And no I'll never forget this ((:

HelloHaha today was worship sem ! And this concludes my crazily insanely dementedly retarded super duper hectic week :D It was quite interesting really, like my team has been doing worship like "ah this song is nice, it goes in." then we arrange hahaha x) but there's another way ! Like, must have buildup to an anchor song ! Then finish off nicely hahaha. Yea but this definitely is something new lah (((:
So worship sem from 930-4pm and Ryan slept through the first bit x) cos apparently, he's done this before lah. I don't blame him aye, because I slept through the Homefront Security Badge Programme lecture as well, due to the fact that I listened during the CivilDefence lecture (and the powerpoints were almost exactly the same !) xD cool beans hahaha LOL.
Then we prepped for worship, and since we're leading tomorrow, we took this opportunity to practise tonight lah. Mhm, we led worship for the p5s and 6s, and we're doing the same songs tomorrow hahaha. Oh it's darned sweet I tell you, while we were prepping between 4-6, I was meddling in Ryan's wallet aye, and guess what I found ! That card in an envelope thingy I gave people for Christmas and birthdays the past years bought from Life ! He still kept it what, it was uh, last last year's Christmas, that means almost two years already ! Damn sweet :D I'll probably never forget this ((: hahaha I wanted to cry and hug him lol, but no I didn't lah x) Just laughed it off and expressed my incredulity. But yea, I don't think you'll read this, but thanks loads man, you totally made my week :D hahaha.
So yepp, worship tomorrow, then duolos visit thing, probably go out to makan lah. And just for the sake of remembrance, this November actually has been a super enriching experience for me haha. I've introduced conference calls to Alicia and Mingyue (both of whom have never done confer in their whole entire lives oO), I've introduced Alicia, Lin, Yajie to rollerblading (that's a first for them as well), and also introduced ice skating to Izzah and Lin :D Haha, being a first in people's lives make me feel superduper valued and warm and fuzzy inside !
And ! I just wanna tell a joke :D Mingyue's first confer went something like this :
Me : "hello !"
Michael (call him MW for short) : "hello."
Mingyue (call MY lurh hahaha) : ".....hello. Who is that ?"
then after establishing that he's from LearningPoint,
MY : "are you two...together ?" (she clarified that she was referring to physically together, not stead x))
Me while MW laughs retardedly in the background : "what ?! no !, we are not 'together' together you bobohead !"
MY probably trying to be smart or something x) : "ah..so Michael's at Serene's house ? Or Serene you at Michael's house ?"
Me while MW is still laughing retardedly : "nooooo it's a conference call ! We have two calls in at once !"
MY : "oh.. you can do that oO ?"
HAHAHAHAHA yes that's a superduper memorable moment aye. And upcoming, another from Alicia ! Clearly she doesn't talk on the phone much lol. Let's take *beep* as that annoying beeping sound when you send or receive messages when you're on the phone. And that's her first conference as well, and Mingyue's second x)

HelloAhh..haven't been blogging I see. Anyhow to make long stories short, I went ice skating with those dudes lol. And I'm feeling damned emo now. Well today I went to Alicia's church for a worship-concert and eh..it was quite alright I guess. But there were like a few songs I didn't know how to sing, so..I think I enjoyed FOP more haha x) Especially this year's :D
On the bus back I was feeling out-of-characterly reflective. So I reflected x) Aye, but I don't like hypocrites. Really really have this strong sense of ... of negative feelings aye xD So I was on the bus back and thinking (just thinking !) what if uhm, someone asked me to stead =X As in I wasn't having fantasies or what lah, just randomly thinking only. My first reaction was "shite, never man." andd.. I couldn't come up with an appropriate reason why I'd say no. So much for looks aren't everything huh. (and appropriate reasons are perhaps, an unbeliever or a major flaw in character. I go for guaikias see x) )
And it's bad. Because I'm constantly comparing guys to the dude and I'm going to get disappointed again. I mean, dude isn't even my boyfriend ! I don't have the right to use him as a benchmark what (and even more so if he is.) Sigh, why did God have to make things so..obscure zzzz. And I have set goals/limits/principles (set principles o.O?) for myself which I intend to follow, all that's left is to find an accountability partner. In which, I can't seem to find one whom I'm very sure that she won't judge me, won't forsake me, and have the time for my problems, along with hers, plus schoolwork and CCA and friends. Tough luck.
Haha and Cyn and I had a very intriguing (pronounced in-TREE-ging i think x)) conversation about Catholics and Christians (and all of her various denominations). I guess it's a matter of culture, like the way Catholics are used to a very fixed mass, and charismatic Christians? are uh, wilder haha x) But I like my denomination. Not too open (with tongues, and too emotional) and not too conservative either (jumping is acceptable lah. and we have a decent band too ((: ) But it doesn't matter in the end, because as long as you believe that Jesus is the Way man ! Haha xD and Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. Whosoever believes in me will not perish but have eternal life." :D You just gotta believe man x)
So uh, tomorrow's the sea sortie. Full uniform :D and motion sickness tablets haha. So long, friends !

HelloVery zonked today lol. Netball training in the morning (for netcarn, I'm in class team -.-) then we slacked a little, went to ECP Macs to have lunch, and rented skates for two hours. Then we took a bus back to Orchard to catch Rob B Hood 0.0 and I reached home at 7.40 lol.
So yea, for netball I played WA :D Haha, that happens to be my personal favourite. You know why ? Because I can't shoot (that eliminates GK GS GA GD) and I don't have stamina (no center for me) and what's left ? WA and WD haha ! Another thing, I can't defend because I don't seem to be able to find my partner (who's madly darting around behind me) so, yea. WA I am haha x)
Mhmm, so we got people to go ECP to skate with us (xiaofei tagged along later all dressed up to go out kaikai lurh). Had lunch at Macs and rented skates for two hours. Dawn Sarah and I gave Lin, Alicia, Yajie and Fei a crashcourse, while Yixin gotta knee pain :( She went home later on.
I didn't fall :D and I think I have somewhat gained confidence in the crossing of legs while turning. Lol I'll demonstrate it another time, it's not easy okay ! So we skated until 2.30 and Fei had a class gathering haha, so she left, and Dawn had to meet her mom up for lunch. Which leaves Sarah Lin Yajie Alicia and me ((: They wanted to watch The Silk and I was like -.- sucks, if you guys watch it then I'm going home from ECP lurh. Horror movies' not my cuppa tea x)
In the end watched Rob-B-Hood instead. JackieChan/LouisKhoo martial arts film. The baby was really cute hahaha, and they named him Li Ka Sing ! (as in the richest man in Asia/HongKong tycoon Li Kar Shing xD) Wasted lah, they dubbed it over with Mandarin, shoulda just left it in Cantonese. HK shows are much nicer in Canto.
Yepp, watched the 4.30 show, expected to come out at say, 5.45 and we came out at 7 (the joy.) Of course go home lah haha, but yes, PS foodcourt that corner yongtauhu stall is pwn ! xD or maybe I was just hungry, but it's quite value for money lah. So yea, and ArmyDaze is cute haha x) I'm watching it on YouTube now. Whee~ We will go ice skating next time !

HelloHaha oh the joy ((: exams are over and we're free to do all that we want and more ! Watched DeathNote today with uh, sarah lin yixin cyn liting nat mingyue weixia yajie chew and another four more people =/ can't remember them at the moment heh. Sorraye !
Anyway, it was quite nice I guess, but Yagami Raito looks so gay ! Especially his long sleeved shirt x.x Haha but L looks like a monkey when he's supposed to look like a cow (in the manga). Even though it's only 1 star and damn cheat money (because the 12bookmangaseries is broken up into three movies -.-), it's not bad. They changed the way Shiori died though, they had Naomi kill her. Not bad I guess, and mingyue yajie were like screaming at me "HOW COULD RAITO BE SO EVIL TO KILL HIS GIRLFRIEND !" LOL I went "uh later he kills his dad" and they went into fits o.O
Yepp and we were in Orchard from like, 12 to say, 8 ? Until after guitar lesson haha. Oh and
I have downgraded my plan to the student one, which means I have 24hour free incoming haha x) wheee ~ !

HelloHaha, I realise that I've been blogging much more often recently. Oh the joys of having nothing to do at home x) with, of course, the exclusion of mugging (because I mug in the evening or at night). Last night TeriTan (junior) was a good reminder to me. I was freaking out, because I only finished my Biology essay at 2230 and haven't started on SS yet. So she was like "it's okay ! just trust Jesus !" aha x)
I think I wrote much for SS. Usually my SEQs are around one page long, today's was around one page and 5 lines xD hrmm I don't feel poofed for Bio though haha x) Had enough time to finish, which is good ! Yepp and take a look at the post below babeh ! I'm not usually bimb but those pictures are <33 !

Ooh yes, I am happy now hahaha. I have never finished a HMT paper 2 ever before in my whole life. Always miss out a few questions. And today, I prayed at the beginning that I would have time to finish ! HAHA and I had 17minutes to spare ! Whee ~ ! Yepp so, ONWARD ME ! History and Chem paper tomorrow. Rumours that Chem's hard =/ Actually I'm more worried about Bio. Poofs. Anyway I'm getting desperate what's with all the PostEOY activities, and the timings are screwing with my head. HelloIt's the start of the exam period now but I felt pretty peaced out today. Or maybe I was just zonked from having not enough sleep. Anyhow, today's the English paper. I don't understand why they wouldn't give up on the comprehension thing, isn't it supposed to be a modular topic ? Do grammar or vocabulary tests or something lah T.T sigh. Well good for those who can score. I have been failing my past comprehension practice papers.
Tomorrow's the HMT paper, and boy, am I unprepared. Not like there is actually anything to study lah honestly, but got abit of unease. Poofs I'm trying out a new exam method haha x) Hopefully the peace I'm feeling inside, is not because I'm lazy/apathetic or my heck-care attitude, but trusting God whee :D
Well uh, even if I don't do well for this EOYs, at least I know that He "(has) plans to prosper (me) and not to harm (me), plans to give (me) a hope and a future." :D:D Hmm, maybe I'd be called into doing mission work. Go Cambodia or Timbuktu lol xD
Anyway, for those who actually read so far, Michael's blog has something about the revised student edition of Psalm23 which is a fun read haha, so check it out ! And uh, I was copying out various parts of the Bible onto a piece of note paper (to cheat in the exams HOHO, no lah lol.) and put it in my bag. I crammed it full of stuff like, 23Psalm and random verses like Jer29:11, Phi4:13, Prov3:5-6 and Psa 18:2. And not forgetting that examination prayer which I found very..(good seems too weak a word...) encouraging and...best (just settle for the superlative even though it's grammatically incorrect xD).
Yepp, and I guess I'll just post the ExamPrayer up here lah. Whee~!

HelloHehheh, today was the Treetop Walk thingy ! It was quite fun lah xD we walked lots and lots ! Got sweaty and all, but it was enjoyable hahaha. The monkeys snatched someone's packet of food though, and she was screaming away -.- Ah but it was a new experience for me lah ((:
Then on the bus, AaronFu was being random and he commented on my Raffles tee ! Yes I found the design damned nice too ! Hahaha, great job on it Waiky, Tammy and company ! xD Yepp and went back to church, enjoyed aircon and left for PS with Yining, Sylvia, Gracia, Ryan, AaronYeh. LongJohn's for lunch and it was nice lah, cos I haven't eaten it for eons :D
We wandered around PS for a lil' while and bought guitar strings. I managed to change the first three strings by myself ! Hahaha xD shit I'm damn smart x) Sorry abit high now lol. I think maybe I'll buy another set of strings to India, cos' my old strings needed replacing anyway. I hope I remember which set Ryan pointed out to me. I can't remember. I only know it's S$10.55 or something. I better buy it before I forget lah.
Okay yes I am bored now so lol I may decide to sleep early tonight ((: Happy Children's Day to all of us out there :D

HelloAha, so much for that blogging addiction xD Nothing special happened lately, so yepp. Just random happy bouts because of a trivial matter. Not that it's really random anymore lah hahaha xD It's becoming more frequent..
Well, I have stripped my phone bald of all fourteen danglys so it's quite bare now. My mom couldn't recognise my phone, thought it was my old phone (in which, Nokia6020 does not even slightly resemble Nokia3200). Frankly even I don't recognise my phone. Ohwells, it was getting heavy anyways.
Tomorrow we're bringing 50 sundayschool kiddos out to MacRitchie Treetop Walk haha. I'm scared of heights x.x We'll see lah. And I'm bringing my guitar to India. Cos' if I don't play my instrument for Cultural eXChange, I'll need to model one of our ethnic costumes. INSANE ! Therefore, I will bring him to India :D Since I sadly don't have a guitar case, I'd be bringing him in the gigbag lurhh. I'll stuff it full of clothes and socks. Pray hard that he will pass 'baggage' inspection and not get checked in, or gatechecked, or otherwise T.T
And on a random note, I'll need to start journaling my NYAA silver soon, if I were to do gold next year. Also, I've worked out my study schedule, and I will start mugging hard on the 9th of October till 20th. Then I'd catch DeathNote the movie as a 完美的结局 to my Chinese PT (which by the way, was on DeathNote manga). It's not a bad book I would say, but it saps alot of brain juice. All the thinking Raito and L went through is pure insanity.
Drill test was on Friday and I think I did alright for it, although there were 4 or 5 of us who failed outta 14. And ma'am didn't say who X.X But if I don't pass, then zzz nevermind lah. It's alright to worry about tests before, but once it's past, it's past. And for GPA this year, I'm pinning my hopes on Chemistry and Math (2 credits xD) to try and pull my other marks up. According to Natalie, I need to pass my EOY Math to get a 3.6 (ohmyGOSH), that's never heard of in the history of Serene Lau ! But we'll see, I hardly get ratio and remainder theorem.
I've gotten class photos, as well as CCA photo back. And I can't believe I ordered the informal class photo T.T ! I looked so horrible hahaha. Aye but at least the CCA one was not so bad. Although it's quite blue all the way, no badges, no ranks :( I can't wait for next year's yearbook :D
Ohwells, I guess I'll really start mugging very very hard next year. I'd just cry if I don't get to take Chemistry H3. And it does take quite a bit to make me cry (wherein I have never ever ever cried over any kind of result before). And of course, if I get to take H3 Chem then I'd be able to go RJ lah xD If not...Nope I'd still not want to go ACSI haha x) talk about 80 girls with one thousand over hormonal guys *shudders*
Nothing much now, but I do look forward to the sea sortie on 6thNov, and my India trip 24Nov to 8Dec, as well as the Christmas celeb 23Dec. Praise the Lord for always being there for us no matter what (even after sinning), no matter when (even in the middle of the night), no matter where (even in the toilet !), no matter who (even non-Christians). :D

HelloWow. This is insane man. My third post in two days, never heard of at pantts. I am developing some kind of blogging addiction T.T I'm guessing that because I don't talk much on MSN nowadays and I need somewhere to rant :( sigh, the state I have been reduced to. As in, yea I usually rant to the people online or sms haha, but maybe I'm becoming one of those damn shy damn quiet kind of girl xD the horror zzz. Yepp I guess I'll be using this as my outlet from here on out; until people start talking to me again/I start to talk to people again.
For one, I reorganised my playlist to reinclude my Mcfly songs and Busted from CDs I have manually burnt them into ancient donkey years ago. And I lent my classical guitar to Deb yesterday. I'm going to miss him :(
And I did more thinking today, about that issue. I still stick to my stand on a not close enough relationship with God. Haha, and I went through my Christmas list as well xD Yepp, maybe I'd start dating at 20yearsold xDD HAHA. I should remind myself on the qualities I should look for in a guy; let's do lists ! They're damn fun x)

` character should be steady, grounded (as contrasted to my perpetual floaty emotional state.)
` must be a man I can follow, am willing to follow. (now it's beginning to sound like a marriage list x.x)

I've been thinking too much these days, or specifically, today. I don't double post, everyone knows that. I'm breaking it today before twelve.Finished reading BoyMeetsGirl. Not that it was a particularly sad/romantic book but impactful. At least to me. I can model my relationship (when I have one that is.) after Joshua and Shannon's, the way they pointed it in the right direction and having a God-centred relationship. It was always respecting the other, and God.
There's a lil bit about some relationships non-Christians have. About pinning your need for a perfect Saviour onto your boyfriend and he falls short of your expectations. Just about half hour ago, I went through one of those irritating what if phases. I shan't pen them here because they are too personal but what if I had said yes ? what if we held hands ? what if ....
I'm ashamed to admit it. But so-and-so was the only one I actually seriously considered starting a relationship with. And you know what, I said no. Not so much pondering over the 'no' part, but my other reasons for saying no. Outside and inside, I personally felt that I wasn't mature enough, nor had enough self discipline to handle schoolwork and a boyfriend at the same time then, which is true, I'm fine with that. But perhaps I subconsciously compared him to what we term as an "ideal boyfriend". And he fell short. I have a feeling that it's because of this mainly, that I turned him down. I basically found him too this, too that, not this enough, not that enough. We're still friends though.
I think I know the reason. It sounds weird, but I think God was speaking to me through that book. I always have this nagging burning question on "how far is too far to go in a boygirl relationship ?" No hard fast rules, but guarding your purity of thought is important. Keeping God the centre of the relationship is important. Fighting sexual urges is important. Communication is important. And about that reason, I don't have an intimate-enough relationship with God (pardon my grammatical errors, I can't think straight now.), and I'm selfishly using him to try and fulfill this need in me for a perfect one.
One of the rare times when I penned a poem down. Rip it up and down the bin it goes. Scraps of paper with little pencil marks on them. If mommy reads it, I'll have quite some explaining to do. I'm not that naïve little girl you used to know.
Does it matter if I cry, you won't see me anyway. Yuck, tear stains.
And I just recalled how it'd look like on my blog (the little tag at the bottom which says "Serene praised God"), and it reminded me. Thank you Lord for showing me the errors of my ways. Help me get to know You more, to want You, to thirst and hunger for You. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Felt like blogging today. Haha I'm so...dependent on my emotions lol. On a random note, I've just found out that x) is a nice smiley, 'cos sometimes xD sounds like you're laughing at someone, and ((: looks too sweet, so x) looks like you're smirking knowingly ! I shall practise smirking hah xD
And today, after much deliberation at LIFE Bookshop, I finally decided to buy BoyMeetsGirl by Joshua Harris. If you have taken a look at my wishlist, tis' one of the books there :D I'll probably finish reading it by today, so if anyone wants to borrow it, I guess you can come and look for me lah ((: Quite high now, just went to KeppelClub to pass my coaches CadburyChoclairs. Those toffee sweets with chocolate inside haha. Stayed there for a lil and talked to zhimin at length xD Poof, she and her alarm clock xD
I shall try and stop using words like "zomg" "what the hell ?" "shit lah.". My September resolution xD
Yepp and the book was nice lah, gave me a new perspective into things (or more specifically, dating). And most of Josh's examples are from his friends, and the guy asks the girl's parents for permission to "court" her ! Now that's courage xD Yea, but it's difficult not to conform to the 'norms' of the society today, dressing decently (I do okay x).), starting a relationship with someone with the focus on God..and yada, so on. Good things in that book, so do get a copy if you can ! Get a purposeful relationship, one with wisdom and romantic feelings. That is to say, feelings aren't enough ! Must be ready to be committed xD
